Galloway’s Society for the Blind are looking for volunteers to help at this weekend’s Colour Blast event.

Galloway’s Society for the Blind are hosting Southport’s first ever Colour Blast 5k on Sunday 10th July in Princes Park. They have almost 300 runners signed up for this event and are now looking to put together a team of volunteers to help make this an amazing day for all involved!

They have volunteer vacancies for:

Marshals – these will be located around the 5k route to ensure that our runners know exactly where they are going and feel safe at all times

Colour Station Squaddies – these volunteers will form a large team who aren’t afraid to get a bit messy and are happy to join in the fun by throwing the coloured powder paint at our runners as they pass through each of our stations.

Volunteers need to be aged 16 or over and will receive a full briefing on the morning of the event. Please note: these are physically active roles and will involve long periods of standing up.

If you would like to help in either of these roles then please contact Anna Eddowes-Scott
on 07729 255 216 or by emailing anna.scott@galloways.org.uk by Friday 8th July at the latest.

And if you would rather take part in the Colour Run itself, then people can still sign up.

Details of how to register as a runner are below, and if you don’t get the chance to register in advance you can do it on the day!
