Sue Ryder, on College Road in Crosby, is looking to recruit General Volunteers and Lead Volunteers.
General Volunteers are involved with the general day-t0-day work in the shop, including providing a friendly and welcoming environment for customers, till work, sorting and displaying stock, pricing up items, steaming clothes, etc.
Lead Volunteers support the Shop Manager by helping with opening and closing the shop on certain days, cashing up the till, some computer work and providing support to other volunteers when needed.
Volunteers for both roles will receive an induction and full training.
Volunteering in a charity shop can be great for anyone looking to gain experience in a retail environment. As well as working as part of a small team, you would also be working with the public, so would meet new people every day. Perhaps most importantly, your volunteering would support the work of Sue Ryder.
Sue Ryder is a national charity which provides hospice and neurological care for people facing a frightening, life changing diagnosis. Their services also include the provision of emotional and practical support. Their network of charity shops help to raise vital funds that support Sue Ryder’s work.
To apply for either of the two roles please contact Diane Adams, Shop Manager, on 0151 932 9170 or by emailing email@example.com
