Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for the seven young people aged between 13 and 24 diagnosed with cancer every day.
The Trust have been chosen as Dobbies Garden Centres’ Christmas Charity partner, and need help to make the most of this wonderful fundraising opportunity!
Last year, with the support of lots of amazing volunteers, Dobbies managed to raise a huge £170,000 to support young people diagnosed with cancer. This year they are hoping to raise even more money through this partnership to help the charity to reach and support more young people. Right now, for every young person they reach, there’s another they can’t.
Sefton’s local branch of Dobbies, Bentham Way in Southport, will be hosting three festive fundraising events:
Charity Night – Thursday 6th October (evening event)
Santa’s Arrival – Sunday 20th November (daytime event)
Ladies Night event – Thursday 1st December (evening event)
Teenage Cancer Trust are looking for volunteers to support these fundraising efforts and you’re welcome to volunteer at one, two or all three of events!
