Did you know that 2017 is officially the Year of Sefton’s Coast? A whole twelve months to celebrate our amazing coast line and all that takes place along it, including volunteering!
Sefton’s Coast and Countryside Team work with many volunteers who make a huge contribution to some of Sefton’s beautiful areas. Volunteers are regularly involved in every aspect of the Coast and Countryside Team’s work, from talking to visitors and monitoring wildlife to litter picking and doing practical conservation work.
They are always looking to improve their volunteering opportunities, so whether you want to help in their Natural Alternatives workshop or count Natterjack toads, check the sheep, organise a beach clean with LoveMyBeach or even help in the office, they will try to find an opportunity that’s right for you.
Every three months the team organises a schedule of dates for voluntary tasks every quarter and these dates are sent out across their network. Events include both weekend and weekday activities. All tools and equipment are provided, all you have to do is wear suitable clothing and bring some refreshments. To find out more about what volunteering opportunities are available with Sefton’s Coast & Countryside Team, you can register as a volunteer.
