Volunteer receptionists sought by Litherland women’s centre.
The SWAN Centre offers a range of support services to women in Sefton some of whom may be experiencing anxiety, depression, isolation and other mental health problems.
Their services include: a full range of complimentary therapies, counselling, an outreach support program, an allotment and a number of anxiety and support groups for women.
The Centre is currently looking to recruit volunteer receptionists for their Linacre Road office (formerly Litherland Library). The role would involve welcoming visitors to the office, answering phone calls, booking appointments and other general administration and reception activities.
Volunteers will need to have a positive disposition, the ability to use a computer, excellent communication skills and be able to work under the direction of the Volunteer Coordinator.
Volunteers are needed Mondays to Fridays during the day. There may be some opportunity to volunteer in the evenings on days when the Centre is open late.
All volunteers will receive a full induction and there may be additional training available as the role develops.
