Parents who lost son to suicide have organised a 10K run to raise awareness and funds, but urgently need volunteer marshals to help on Sunday 17th September.
The 10 kilometer run is taking place at Rimrose Valley Country Park, and will raise funds for PAPYRUS, a charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide.
Gail and Len Wilson lost their son Nathan to suicide and have organised the run in his memory to raise awareness of the issue and to support PAPYRUS.
The event has proved very popular, and more volunteer marshals are needed to ensure its success.
Volunteers will be needed from 9am for approximately 2hrs 30mins. The role will involve helping to set up the course, directing runners and helping to tidy away at the end of the event.
The event will start at the section of Rimrose Valley Park between Queensway and Glenwyllin Road in Waterloo. This is where volunteers will need to meet at 9am on Sunday.
If you can help, please contact Len Wilson on 07786150146 or 0151 928 3313.
