Volunteer sought for pivotal role in developing sport in Sefton.

Sefton Sports Council is a voluntary organisation which acts on behalf of the voluntary sector sports clubs throughout the borough. It’s main objective to support the development of local sports clubs by providing an information and advice service.
The Secretary plays a pivotal role within the Sports Council, coordinating committee meetings, circulating information and often being the first point of contact for outside agencies. They will work closely with the chair, vice-chair, treasurer and president to support the Sports Council in their work.
The main responsibilities of the role include taking minutes of committee meetings, circulating those minutes and agendas in a timely manner, and processing correspondence on behalf of the Council. The Secretary also coordinates the organisation’s committee meetings, 3 to 4 a year, and an Annual General Meeting which member organisations attend. There are also opportunities for the Secretary keep track of initiatives and developments in sport across the country
