An exciting development is coming to the Brighter Living partnership for those with an interest in catering, food and meeting people.

Brighter Living Partnership is part of Living well Sefton and provides Health & Wellbeing Service throughout Southport.

They are looking for Volunteers to help establish a community café in Southport Community Centre on Norwood Road.

Volunteers will provide a warm welcome to people who visit the café , Prepare and serve drinks and simple healthy snacks, Encourage users to access other services in the centre, And Keep the kitchen & cafe area running smoothly.

This is a great opportunity for someone to develop personally and professionally,  Meet new people, work with the public, Develop catering skills and provide a new service to the local community.

You don’t need to have catering experience to volunteer but they would love to hear from people who do! More importantly Brighter living would want all the volunteers to have a positive and outgoing approach.

Training will be provided and ongoing support and supervision will be provided by Southport Community Centre and the Brighter Living Partnership staff.

The snack bar will be open initially on Tuesday mornings only but with a view to expand this in the near future.
