The the RSPB are asking people to volunteer for an hour between 27th – 29th January and record what birds are in your garden or local park.
The Big Garden Birdwatch is the largest wildlife survey in the world and around half a million people take part each year. The annual event has been taking place for almost 40 years, and helps to provide valuable information on which bird species are thriving and which may be under threat. The data gathered can then be used to find out why the numbers of some species may have dropped and how that drop could possibly be reversed.
