Trustee’s Week (4th -8th November 2019)

Trustee’s Week is an annual campaign that aims to raise awareness of the work of trustees across the UK.

Trustees are essentially the people in charge of a charity, volunteering their time and working together to make important decisions about a charity’s work.  They are vital to the ongoing running of community and charity organisations, and therefore make a huge impact on their local community.

Volunteer Centre Sefton are regularly contacted by local charities looking for trustees, so there is always a need for volunteers who have the skills, experience and passion to help a charity to develop

Skills that charities are looking for from trustees often include:

MANAGEMENT                                  FINANCE

STAFF SUPERVISION                       RESEARCH

DATA ANALYSIS                                VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT

MARKETING                                       PROBLEM SOLVING

Being a trustee can be hugely satisfying, provide great opportunities for professional development and is not necessarily a huge time commitment.

If you would like to find out more about what is involved in being a trustee and explore what options may be available in Sefton, please contact Volunteer Centre Sefton on 0151 920 0726 or email
