During Trustees’ Week 2020, we are promoting a number of local charities which are looking to recruit new trustees.
Our first organisation is Sefton Carers’ Centre who, since they were founded in 1994, deliver a range of support services for unpaid carers across the borough. From counselling to therapies, welfare benefits advice to their Listening Ear service, providing telephone support, the Centre works with both adult and young carers. This range of practical and emotional support helps to promote health, wellbeing and quality of lifem with over 11,000 Carers registered on the organisation’s database.
Sefton Carers’ Centre is currently looking to recruit a new trustee to help invigorate the organisation’s work.
As a Trustee, you would support the management and administration of our charity to meet the needs of carers in Sefton. You would be required to attend 6 meetings per year including the AGM. You will not be involved in the operations of the charity but will provide advice on strategy and governance.
The role is voluntary – previous experience as a trustee or in governance, or a background in senior management and legal positions, would be desirable.
