About Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is a worldwide evangelical Christian church. Their mission is based on their faith in Jesus Christ who wants everyone to experience life in all its fullness.

That is why, here in the UK and Ireland, they put their faith into action by offering practical help for people without discrimination, standing up for those who are vulnerable, fighting against injustice and encouraging people to deepen their relationship with God. The services they offer are diverse and responsive to the realities of life in the communities they serve.

They are currently looking for a variety of volunteers to support their opportunities including:

Shop Volunteer
They’re keen to have more volunteers in their charity shop, where you might be welcoming customers, sorting clothes, rotating stock or working at the till.

Coffee Shop Volunteer
There are also volunteer opportunities available in their coffee shop, where you’ll get to be the friendly face of The Salvation Army as you prepare and serve simple refreshments, clear up and wash up.

Van Driver/ Helper Volunteer
Looking for someone who can drive their van or go out on the van with the driver to do deliveries and pickups.  They would need to be able to do heavy lifting and contribute to being the face of The Salvation Army to the public.

Or perhaps you have other skills that you’d like to offer!

If that’s you, why not get in touch? You can contact them by phone, email or just call by their building and go to reception for a chat.
