Brain Charity Seeks Volunteer Befrienders

A Merseyside-based national charity is looking for volunteers to provide telephone befriending to those with neurological conditions.

The Brain Charity offers emotional supportpractical help and social activities to anyone with a neurological condition and to their family, friends and carers.

Befriending is a weekly voluntary role, where you make a telephone call to someone who has a neurological condition and/or supports someone with one. The aim is to be a jolly, non-judgemental ear, and bring a bit of happy their way. The Brain Charity do ask that volunteers take on two befriendees, so it would require 2 x 30 minute conversations each week.

If you are someone who likes a chat, but is also a good listener, this could be the ideal role for you. For further details, or to apply to become a volunteer, please contact Suzanne by emailing befriending@thebraincharity.org.uk or by calling 0151 298 2999.
