Volunteers’ Week 2025

What a fantastic week we had for Volunteers’ Week 2025. Here at Volunteer Centre Sefton we were busy helping out and celebrating Sefton’s incredible volunteers. Here is a round up of our Volunteers’ Week 2025.

Monday 2 June
We were at Old Christ Church for Summer in Sefton organised by Sefton Parent Carer Forum finding out about volunteering opportunities for parents and children.

Wednesday 4 June
We held our annual fantastic Volunteer Celebration event to say a huge thank you to Sefton volunteers with certificates presented by The Worshipful the Mayor of Sefton, Cllr June Burns and awards for Volunteer of the Year, Young Volunteer of the Year and a Special Recognition Award.

Thursday 5 June
We supported a Volunteering Taster Session with Friends of Rotten Row, helping this volunteer led group maintain their beautiful 746 metre herbaceous border.

Friday 6 June
We attended Southport FC Community Health and Wellbeing event and chatted to people about how volunteering could help their mental and physical health.
