We connect those that are looking to volunteer with organisations that need volunteers. Working across Sefton, we help promote volunteering and the difference it can make to everyone involved.

Volunteers are at the heart of thriving, resilient communities — but volunteering doesn’t happen by accident. That’s why we’re using Volunteering Doesn’t Happen by Accident, the new best practice guide from @NAVCA, to bring partners together and strengthen the local volunteering system in Sefton. By working collaboratively — promoting volunteering, reducing barriers, and improving policy

Sefton is celebrating after Ainsdale in Bloom, Bootle Action Group CIC, and Sea Cadets Sefton were all honoured with the King’s Award for Voluntary Service in November 2025 — the highest national recognition given to volunteer groups in the UK. The King’s Award for Voluntary Service is often described as the “MBE for volunteer groups.”
