Nominations for the 2027 King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS)—the MBE equivalent for local volunteer groups—run from 1 September to 1 December 2026. Held for life, this honour is open to UK-based groups of three or more people that have operated for at least three years, are volunteer-led rather than run by paid staff, and deliver a direct benefit to their local community.
