Nominations and expressions of interest are now open for our 2026 Volunteer Celebration Event

As part of Volunteers’ Week 2026 from the 1st to the 7th of June, we will be recognising and celebrating our incredible volunteers across Sefton with our Annual Volunteer Celebration Event. The Worshipful Mayor of Sefton will give thanks to volunteers who have devoted their time to serving across the borough, recognising contributions from both small groups and large organisations alike.

Nominations for all the awards will close at 5pm, Friday 22nd May 2026

Expressions of Interest are now available for organisations in Sefton to join us at the event to celebrate and recognise volunteers for their dedication and hard work, many of who enable them to provide their services across the borough.

Please note, organisations may bring up to 10 volunteers or 9 volunteers and 1 staff member. Only one lead name per form please. Booking is essential for this popular event and will close on Friday 22 May 2026. When all the available places are full, booking will close which may be before Friday 22 May 2026 so the earlier you can get your form in the better chance your group has to attend.

The Volunteer Celebration Event will be on Thursday 4th June starting at 11am till 2.30pm at Bootle Town Hall. The event takes place as part of Volunteers’ Week celebrations from Monday 1st June to Sunday 7th June 2026.
