A Million Acts of Hope Week of Action 13-20 May

Hundreds of charities, communities and faith groups have come together to launch A Million Acts of Hope – a campaign to bring hope out into the open.

A Million Acts of Hope is a national invitation to celebrate the everyday acts of kindness, care and connection happening across the UK. At a time when division can feel loud, we want to bring together all these everyday acts of hope and shine a light on the people and communities making them happen. The A Million Acts of Hope Week of Action will take place 13-20 May.

There are 3 main ways you can take part in A Million Acts of Hope

Connect what you’re already doing during the Week of Action to A Million Acts of Hope. Download the posters and social media assets to help you publicise your
activity as one connected to A Million Acts of Hope.

Collect messages of hope in your local area. You could think about creating a ‘Hope Wall’ or ‘Hope Tree’ with messages from your community on what or who gives them hope. Post on social media by tagging us on Facebook or Instagram @1mActsOfHope.

Go one step further and host a hope event. You could think about the kinds of activities that appeal to your community and bring people together. Maybe that’s running a litter pick or a community pantry during the Week of Action.

If you would like Volunteer Centre Sefton to help or support an activity or share your stories about the work you already do just get in touch here: info@volunteeringsefton.org.uk
